Dream Travel
By Ben Frost
Different people enjoy different kinds of holidays. I love international food, but I don’t travel abroad to eat it. 1[_] The main reason why I stay here is that I hate air travel. I don’t mind spending money on interesting activities, though. I’m not keen on sunbathing, so I don’t go to the beach. I don’t like sightseeing or shopping either, so you won’t find me in a shopping centre, or a cathedral. I love doing things I’ve never done before, like bungee jumping.
My friend Ajay isn’t keen on theme parks, but he’d love to go on something like a road trip across the USA. He’d visit different cities and stop at American diners, but he’d avoid too much fast food. His other dream holiday would be in Kenya. He wouldn’t travel about, though. 2[__] He thinks it would be good to go with a group so he could share the experience. He’d take pictures, but he wouldn’t post them online because he prefers to avoid the internet.
My friend Yasemin loves independent travel so a group tour would be terrible for her. She likes walking around cities on her own and discovering fascinating places that not many other people go to. 3[___] She would choose a cheap hostel where she can meet interesting people. She would try to eat cheaply, but she does love going to local restaurants. 4[____] That’s why she wouldn’t buy anything from gift shops and she wouldn’t take an expensive camera. She would take lots of photos on her phone.
